We have a position available for a Kennel Assistant to work
at our branch in Hagley Road, Edgbaston.
This branch caters for small animals (i.e. cats and dogs) and also a wide range of exotic species (including birds, reptiles, small mammals, wildlife etc). Although you won’t be handling the patients on a regular basis, you will need to feel comfortable around them.
This is an important position, as you are responsible for not only the cleanliness and appearance of all areas of the practice, but also the instruments and equipment we use for operating and care of our patients. Your duties will be various but will include the cleaning, packing and sterilising of equipment, cleaning kennels and preparing consult rooms.
You will also receive training on how to answer phones and use our computer system in order to assist receptionists and nurses when the phones are busy.
Full training will be given. Uniform provided. Reduced fees for treating your pets.
Hours: Four days per week from Monday to Friday from 12.30-7.30
(one day off per week) and every Saturday morning 8.30-12.30.
An average of 30 hours per week.
This is NOT a student veterinary nurse (or similar) training position.
