These two rescue cats came in yesterday to be spayed (neutered).
For female cats, the incision is usually made on the left flank. A patch of fur is shaved and the skin is scrubbed several times with an anti-septic and anti-bacterial solution before the surgery begins.
The preparation for surgery is done is a separate room we call the "Prep Room", before the patient is moved into the sterile theatre.
With siblings such as Ginny & Luna, as soon as they are awake they are re-united with each other (under close supervision to make sure they are not licking each others surgery site).
Can you guess which one is which?
We are fortunate at Manor Vets to have an amazing team of committed, talented and enthusiastic staff.
