Diagnostic imaging has revolutionised the practice of exotic animal medicine. Of the various techniques available in the practice, radiography and ultrasonography are the most popular. In the recent years more advanced diagnostic imaging techniques allow even more detailed and precise information to aid diagnosis. These techniques are now more commonplace and used routinely in exotic medicine practice.
This CPD is aimed at Vets and RVN alike. The talk will focus on basic radiographic techniques like standard positioning of the patient in different species, basic ultrasound techniques and basic CT techniques; we will also briefly discuss endoscopy - MRI nuclear imaging (scintigraphy and PET).
Delegates can expect to leave with a greater understanding of when to utilise the radiography techniques available to them as well as practical tips that can be implemented at clinic level.
We are fortunate at Manor Vets to have an amazing team of committed, talented and enthusuastic staff.
