Khan the Otter

Khan the Otter

Asian Short Clawed Otter, Khan, needed to be seen by Sergio Silvetti Cert A (ZM) MRCVS DVM at Manor Vets Exotics, Edgbaston as she developed a lump on her head.

Our Manor Vets Exotics team began further investigations by x-rays, a dental examination and also a lance/flush procedure revealed an abscess. Manor Vets Nurse (SVN) Faye Saunders successfully took some blood for tests and monitored the anaesthetic throughout the procedures.

Khan had a smooth GA and recovery, she had some lovely, fresh fish to eat before going back to WILD Zoological Park.
