Super Pet Awards May 2019...
Freya came in to see Ben (Manor Vets Veterinary Surgery in Shirley Colebrook Vets) back in February this year, after the owners noticed she was very sore on her front right leg.
She is a clumsy young cat and after taking x-rays it was obvious that she had managed to break both her radius and ulna.
The owners opted for conservative management so the fracture was aligned and splinted, and came back in weekly for re-checks to change her splint/bandage.
She is such a well behaved and friendly cat, that we managed to take Freya’s x-rays while she was awake, with no issues.
Last month at her 7 week follow up x-ray it showed really good healing of the fractures and she is now no longer wearing a splint.
Here she is with Stacey one of our Veterinary Auxiliaries after her final x-rays.
We are all really pleased with Freya’s progress and hope she continues to recover at home.
We are fortunate at Manor Vets to have an amazing team of committed, talented and enthusuastic staff.
