Say NO to Flystrike!

Posted: 28th June 2018

Flystrike occurs when a fly lays its eggs on a rabbit’s skin.

The eggs hatch within hours and bite their way through the rabbit’s skin proving fatal if not treated quickly.

Summer Months

Flystrike can happen at anytime however is more common in summer months.

It is therefore important to check your bunnies and their bedding twice a day during summer and call your vet IMMEDIATELY if you see any maggots.
