It’s common in spring and summer months for fledgling birds to be on the ground as they are learning how to fly. Their parents are in the area watching over them and feeding them. If you find a healthy fledgling bird, there's no need to be worried. Please leave it alone and keep dogs, cats and children out of the area - interfering with a young fledgling bird will usually do more harm than good.
If you encounter an injured bird, please contact the RSPCA.
